UHF Reader, protocol stacking

Hi,

I,m building UHF RFID reader. I've selected the parts, but I notice that my front-end reader chip support EPC Gen2 protocol, but my tags UCODE G2iM+ (from NXP).

I'm confused. Are they compatible?
