Is there an easy method on how to remember the trig. ratios on a right angled triangle...tan, cos, sin..?

I always find myself referring to my notes.

From my class in conventional machining which I took at the local community college

SOH CAH TOA (pronounced SOO-KAA-TOW-AH). I forget the slightly filthy acronym that goes with it, but it decodes as:

SOH - Sine is Opposite over Hypoteneuse
CAH - Cosine is Adjacent over Hypoteneuse
TOA - Tangent is Opposite over Adjacent

well i always use OHSAHCOAT. the pronounciation alone could not be any easier.

OH=S i.e OPPOSITE/HYPOTHENUS =SINE

AH=C i.e ADJACENT/ HYPOTHENUS =COSINE

OA=T i,e OPPOSITE/ADJACENT = TANGENT

well thats the easiest way i learn it. work form me so hopefully it should work fro u too.

A favourite phrase of mine for remembering SOHCAHTOA was:

Smiles Of Happiness Come After Having Tankards Of Ale
