hi
I have been given a problem to solve on transformers.
using
Code:
Vp = Np = Is
---  ---  ---
Vs   Ns   Ip
Not being given Np or Ns figures but follow reading:

Vp 242v
Ip 0.43a

AND ASKED TO FIND Vs AND Is
using formula not even getting close to measured result of
Vs 12.9v
Is 5.37a

Can anyone help?

You're right, the given values and the measurements are at odds. What is you want from us? My best theory is that you don't know what you are doing, and are comparing an AC input (mains) to a DC output, since you did not specify that your measured voltage was VAC(rms). You have the same ambiguity in your current measurements as well.
