I've been trying for a long time to understand how track and trace system work for pharmaceutical drugs. I am also attaching this video and a PDF file for reference, which I have read many timebut still I have many doubts
So far I have understood that the medicine packet has a barcode printed on it. Each packet has its own unique identification code. I have also read that the information about the manufacture of the drug has to be uploaded on the government portal.
1) I don't understand how the system checks whether a drug is counterfeit medicine
2) I do not understand how system track and trace to where the medicines are, in the pharmacy, in the hospital, in the warehouse.
3) What is the role of barcode in track and trace?
