I am having trouble finding the TLC5940 driver IC in 28-PDIP package. They are no longer available through Mouser or Digikey. I'm not looking for a breakout board, just a chip that I can plug into a breadboard. There are offers online shipped from China, but I was hoping to buy from a more familiar supplier. Are there alternative chips available? I have installed the tlc5940 library in my Arduino programming IDE. I am hoping that I can still code for a viable substitute chip.
