Hello,

I accidentally disassembled a mechanical timer I use for my porch lights and the mechanism that controls the on/off cycle fell apart.
I'm having trouble assembling it back.

I'm including a few pictures. Any of you had experience with timers like this one? IMG_0440.JPG IMG_0439.JPG IMG_0441.JPG IMG_0443.JPG scheme.jpg

Thanks and sorry if posting in wrong forum.

WOW! I doubt you're going to find anyone who can put it back together for you with the information you give. Here's the basics of this machine: A motor drives a gear or a set of gears. As the time goes by the cam(s) either push contacts together or apart. That's what you need to figure out on your own. If I had the machine in hand I could probably sort it out. But via the internet - I don't think I could tackle that job.

Good luck. Hope you find a solution.

hi,
From what I can see, the black plastic piece is the only one which is asymmetric .
The two plastic bush holes in the base are two different diameters that match the blue piece and the brass spindle.

As the black piece can only fit in two ways on the brass spindle, in order to make operate a connection between the blue piece and the contact set, it should be simple enough to try fitting it one way or the other and trying it.

I am assuming no bits are missing from your images.?

I will try assembling it back when I have more time to spend on it...

Thanks!
