I just upgraded my Samsung S2 to an S5 (yes, I know the S6 has just been released...) and I am really impressed with the camera.

I have also, in the past, been intrigued with time-lapse photography.

I found an awesome free app in the Play Store call Framelapse. So far, I've been just recording cloud movement through our sunny Florida skies, and the results are *awesome*.

Sorry, I don't have a place to upload video for you all to see, but if you've got a good Android phone, you may want to give it a try.

 

Oh...and now I can't wait for a nice storm to roll in...

 

Photography is fun!
I have won contests with, for instance, a 1 second exposure of the Snake River or a 30 minute exposure in a harbor.
A flower in the grass at 5 inches. Mount Rushmore from 1/4 mile.

Congrats on your new hobby... I have several friends that have re-discovered the art of photography and have become very enthusiastic about it. It definitely is a beautiful form of art.

Thanks, that finally gives a nice visual for what happens inside and mold of a plastic injection molding process. So much time and effort is spent simulating plastics flow and the mold-filling process. How viscosity changes and voids caused by freeze-off from insufficient heating. So many buyers of plastic parts want a cheap mold that does not have sufficient heating (or uniform heating) because they think the plastic just liquified in the machine and pours into the mold. The flow is really much more like this (except pushed with tons of force rather than a gravety-induced flow). Videos of lava flow at actual speed just don't represent the plastic flow in the same way as this time lapse does. Thanks for sharing.
