Thevenin Equivalent Circuit

Having difficulty solving this Thevenin question, specifically resistance
So how do you normally find the Thevenin resistance?

Try to apply that approach and see what happens.

Keep in mind that we can't figure out what you are doing wrong unless you show us what you are doing.

This circuit is particularly simple to reduce, I did it by just looking at it. Could your problem be you do not have the mental tools to evaluate the circuit for its equivalent?

You start by opening up any current sources, and shorting any voltage sources. Then look into the circuit for the resistance seen.

Oh yes, and just a tiny bit of a trick question.
Yep, but the cookbook approach will work just fine and hopefully, in the process of doing that, the TS will observe what we can see as being obvious and then hopefully, it will be obvious to him in the future.
