from the floyd book but define the r=Vr(pp)/Vdc but if we use the sawtooth approximation the
Vr(rms)=Vp(recr)/(2*sqrt(3)f RL C) and the final reults are r=1/(4*sqrt(3)*f0*RL*C) f0
