I HATE "Political Correctness." I'm Italian. I thought this was pretty funny.

I was installing burglar alarm systems for a short while. In one client's house my partner and I were installing motion detectors. The home owner wanted to be able to walk through the room without getting detected but if someone were to enter through a window they would be spotted. My partner was on the ladder and I was doing the Walk Test. The owner commented to me "So you're the guinea pig." My partner, ever light hearted and quick witted said "How'd you know he was Italian?" I laughed. But she (the home owner) didn't. "IF MY HUSBAND WERE HERE RIGHT NOW HE'D GET HIS GUN AND SHOOT YOU OFF THAT LADDER!" I couldn't stop laughing watching him up there trying to backpedal his comment. And it probably was a good thing her husband wasn't home.

I don't mind ethnic jokes. I also recognize that some people DO get offended by them, even when they're not the target of the joke. So out of consideration of others I usually refrain from making such jokes. But I loved your nuclear joke. Not the least bit offended. I see the point of the joke and it was not targeted at Italians. Nor do I believe you WOULD target someone.
