Believe it or not, that happened to me once using AliExpress ... I took a photo of the bare floor at my front door and they passed it as evidence and refunded me for the missing merchandise.

I had a building inspector ask me for my plumbing blueprint. There was no plumbing, therefore, no plumbing blueprint. He kept insisting that he still needed to see the plumbing blueprint. So I handed him a blank sheet of paper. He asked "What's this?" I said "It's my plumbing blueprint." "THERE'S NO PLUMBING ON THIS PAGE" he expounded. I said "Right. No plumbing, no plumbing blueprint!" He finally got it.
