I've got my doubts. If such an asymmetry existed, there would not be a linear temperature gradient along a bar whose ends are fixed at different temperatures.
The quick answer is, we don't have perpetual motion machines of the second kind. The Second Law says heat cannot be completely converted to work by a device operating in a cycle, even if every step is reversible.

Why don't we have a device like a microwave oven for fast cooling?
Radio Electronics April 1989 page 74 someone took a microwave oven and converted it into a refrigerator. They turned the "Micro"wave into a "MACRO"wave oven and made it chill house flies into hypothermia.
