Better make sure to take out life insurance on the universe, so that you'll have something to live on after it's all over. ;)
Isn't it funny how easy it is to make fun of some of these articles?
When these guys can predict the weather for tomorrow with perfect accuracy every time, I might take some of this stuff more seriously.
I feel another joke about this coming on... :)

Hello again,

I can't help thinking that maybe we already entered an era where science and myth are mixing and matching.

This topic is almost like the Bigfoot mystery where we have thousands and thousands of articles and TV shows on the animal, yet there is not one shred of hard evidence. That's even considering all the other alternatives to Bigfoot like Yeti. That's even considering that hunters make money by hunting animals, and to catch a crypto animal like these dead or alive would render them millionaires overnight and put them in the history books for all eternity. You mean with all that motivation we don't even have one genuine Indiana Jones on the case?

Maybe some of the scientists these days just want their name in some article no matter what it is about or how true it is. Anyone can speculate on a subject which has no conclusive data to accompany it.
Am I being too critical? Well, this kind of thing seems to muddy up the clean scientific principles we are more familiar with.

The old broken English statement sums it up pretty well:
"One monster short we be"
Ha!

So, you can have plenty to spend at the restaurant at the end of the universe.
Hey you made me think of another angle on this with the phrase "end of the universe".

When we think of the end of the universe we might think is that the universe somehow disappears, or we could think of it as a sort of border of the universe as at one end.
So, just how would the end of the universe come about. Would it start in some local vicinity and spread out, or just all of a sudden totally disappear into nothingness.

Fire and Ice
BY ROBERT FROST

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

That's an interesting verse.

I wonder if we could even figure out how it would end. I wonder if the Earth is done evolving when it comes to extreme changes not little changes like regular type volcanos. Since we seem to have global warming, that must eventually affect the core too. If the core gets hotter it could cause another crack in the Earth's crust, leading to the end of all life. Then I guess it would not matter what the age of the Universe was anymore.

If you make enough predictions, eventually you'll be right.

Ohhh geeze, ha ha, thanks for that post you made me laugh, especially with the reference to AOC. She used to crack me up all the time, and did you happen to see her little roof dance video? If you never saw that, you should look it up right now you won't regret it. She dances like a total nut job on the roof of some building and somebody videotaped it. If you ignore the insaneness of it though, it's kind of cute. I have to admit, she's an incredible looking gal. The sad part is, that was probably a big factor in how she got elected. Enough about that though it gets too deep into politics and we all know what that leads to.

Now as far as predictions, I've seen some very ignorant ones. The most memorable is the one about the end of the world by a very famous paster/preacher. He made a prediction based on the Bible, then when it did not come true, he changed to a later date, they another later day when that didn't come true. Not sure when these people ever learn from their mistakes, especially since there is a verse in there that states that no man will ever be able to know this. Maybe he was making an attempt to show how true that is (ha ha ha).

The only right way to make a prediction is to assign a date to it. "Sometime in the future". You can never be wrong :)
"Global warming" is not a prediction unless you start to assign dates for certain events, but then again neither is "Global freezing".

I love comedy :)

You know what's really funny? They made a movie about this in 1991.

It was one of the worst movies ever made -- especially being a sequel to one of the best.

But it's hard to top reality with fiction these days.
