Tested a MCP4261 by MEGA2560, the MCP became hot after half hour, what's wrong?

What would make UP hot could be several things -

1) Current injection into/out of a pin by taking pin outside its
supply rails by ~ a Vbe or more, below ground or above Vdd.

2) Excess loads on output pins.

3) Clocking rate out of spec high.

4) Excess supply V on Vdd pin.

Thank you Dana,

I'll improve that.
Do you have idea why my MCP4261 need manually power off time by time, otherwise it can't be write correctly.

Look at post #9 and read it again. Show how exactly you have everything connected, all components and all connections.

Yes, I attached the new drawing, for shown the whole view, what not in the view are: USB from MEGA, +5V and GND to MEGA.
