another way of looking at it is the owner cud not have lost more than what
the thug had gained as the neighbour is just a passive member.
so the traveler gets a $300 bike and $50 cash.
he gains $350 eq and hence the owner loses $350.

they are not puzzles they are just for fun , u can post your answer,

also plz expand the picture to full size(u'll see a magnifying option -just click with mouse when the page is opened) or else u wont see some of the words since i messed up the words in it while converting it to monochrome foolishly.

Here are the answers that I have thought up. I think I see the lesser of two evils, a man among men, shrinking violets, snowed out? unfinished symphony? patrol outside the perimeter? and hmmmm ... 2000 miles between it and me? maybe? Dont know if ? ones are right, good numbers one confuses me.

here is another switch torture.
this one is common one and u might know the answer before hand.
there are 3 switches in front of a room.
the room has one genuine practical bulb (it has all good and bad qualities of bulbs may be a very high wattage ,but it does not fuse )
in two attempts to turn the switches on (man switches turn me on)
and only one attempt to go in to the room (need more room here)
u have to point which switch connects to the bulb.
also u cant see light coming out of the room from outside (i knew what you were planning)
the hint is in the question but its not really a trick question but a method u can use in real life.

1.there r 100 men
2. there is one assassin who has to kill these 100 ppl.
3.he has red and blue caps (number is not definite for each colour but they both sum upto 100)
4. he lines all the 100 men one after another in a queue so that 100th can see all 99 b4 him.
5. 99th can see all 98 b4 him but not the 100th who is behind him.
6. now assassin blinfolds 100 ppl and puts cap on each of them, the colour of cap being random.
7.now he removes thr blindfold and so 100th can see the colour of cap of all 99ppl b4 him
8. 99th can see colour of caps of all the 98 ppl b4 him but he cant see his own and 100th persons cap.
9. now assassin starts with the 100th and puts a condition that if the person correctly tells the colour of his cap he will be spared and if not he will be killed.
10. at a time only one person can speak
11. these 100 ppl must come out with strategy so that least no. of ppl are killed.
......................can u find the best strategy.

Switch 2 switchs on for a period of time, then switch 1 of them back off.
Go into the room.
If a lamp is lit then the good lamp is connected to the one switch left on.
If no lamps are lit, but one lamp is Hot to the touch, then the good lamp is connected to the switch you had on then switched off.
If no lamps are lit, and all are cold, then the untouched switch is the one connected to the good bulb.
