Is there any acceptable rage of dead spots? i.e. The synchro displays the angles 1,2,3,6,7,8....
I'm developing a test procedure to test our synchros for the Navy and our customer asked this question.
I would think any dead spots would not be acceptable.

Any help would be appreciated!

 

There should be zero dead spots. With 10 bit digital word processing the angle resolution should at least 0.5 degree directly from a Syncro/Resolver with a good synchro-to-digital converter.
