Do 7-11 hot dogs count? A couple of weeks ago I had a two-for one along with potato wedges. The wedge portions were less generous than when I've had them before, and the dogs needed reheating at home, but it hit the spot.

But I really wish I had a teleportation booth that would take me to Tokyo, and preferably with a time travel option so I can revisit some cafes and diners and delis nearer home that no longer exist. Also, paying the lower prices of 20 to 30 years ago would be nice.

Yo! ... @nsaspook ... sorry man, but I win ... you're simply NOT going to be able to outdo this post ;)

This is Eva Longoria, having a nice, tasty and juicy taco de machacado at one of my favorite street taquerías in Monterrey. I've been there plenty of times, and they never, never ever disappoint. The one thing missing from this short clip is the way the ladies (yes, they are ALL women, about 6 of them) running the place treat the customers. They trash talk each other, and flirt with the men (if they're handsome enough) that arrive alone. They will even question your masculinity if you stay quiet and try to shy away from them. It's not only a good place to eat, but a fun one as well ... if you get the mexican sense of humor. The lines in that place tend to get long, Long, LONG in the mornings ... so what you're seeing is people visiting when it has just barely opened (7 am, I'm guessing) and there's about half an hour before it begins to get crowded.

Edit: it ain't fair ... it's time to go to bed and I'm still salivating ...

Carne asada, as many people know it, is grilled marinated steak, often eaten in a taco or burrito. But in Mexico and Los Angeles, carne asada is also a social event. The asada is in essence a barbecue, where a smoking grill serves as the focal point for anywhere from six to 60 people gathered on a warm night in a back garden or at the local park. The meal includes sizzling marinated meats, seafood, rice, beans, salsas and ice-cold beer cocktails.
