When wiring a 110V spot welder, is it acceptable to hook up both a push button and foot controller to the same electrical connectors on the circuit board so one or the other could be used? If not, what would be the best schematic scenario?

Presumably the typical N/O switch is used?
Just wire them in parallel.
The shielded foot pedal is best to avoid accidental operation.
