Hi everyone first poster here, I'm having a problem with my crt tv where it has a Constant relay clicking with an accompanying flashing power light. Can also hear high voltage for about 5 seconds then it shuts off.
I have recapped majority of the board and have tested the HOT outside of the circuit and I'm 99% sure it has tested as good not entirely sure since I have a cheap multimeter

Really stumped here so if anyone has any advice it would be really appreciated! thanks

 

Way too many possibilities here. Could be a bad flyback, could be an HOT that fails under load, could be a host of other things.
Post the model number. I will look in my archives for "common" failures.

I think you can replace the relay. Maybe the relay itself is problematic.

 

Have you removed the batteries from the remote control?
Just a thought.
