Hi!
I'm trying to design a compact (3cm x 3cm x 3cm or smaller) way to boost 1k VDC to 10-15kV (less than 10 might work, but 10-15k is ideal) for space applications. These are the options I've found so far:
  1. Cockroft-Walton multiplier- Size is an issue due to the number of stages
  2. Flyback Converter- Again, size may be an issue because of transformer itself?
  3. Marx Generator- Unsure about using large spark-gap switches in space
Are there better options that I may not have considered? Or are these options actually feasible?

Thank you very much for your help!
