Hello everybody, this is my first post, i don't have an electronics background that is why i write here for help,
I want to know if it is possible to convert smartphone lcd display to external with usb-c port, i did a little research and i found that most lcds use fcc cable, then i found ffc to usb-c connectors to aliexpress, so do i need an lcd controller board for this to work? if so can this be somehow simplefied since it is intended to be used with phone display, thank you for reading.

 

I will just tell to forget it as it is way more complicated than that. Every display is different, commands, pins, protocols, its not just the connection.

 

Unless you find a board that does exactly what you need with the display that you have I would say it is nearly impossible. For someone who has ample experience with both phone lcds and usb such project would take about 3-6months of development depending on how easy it is to make the code for the processor to act as a usb video card.
