Hi there
I am wanting to connect a third party directional antenna to an IFM CR3131 CANwireless deivce to try improve the range. The CR3131 has a RP-SMA connection for the antenna, while the options I am looking at for antenna all have SMA connections. After some reading I found that RP-SMA connections are made prevent consumers from attaching non standard antenna to try increase the gain. Am I able to still use these antenna with an off the shelf SMA to RP-SMA adapter or is there more to it than that?

Here's some of the adapters I'm thinking of

Cheers.

I'm looking to connect a third part antenna to my RF device. The device has an RP-SMA plug (male pin) with outside thread and the antenna I am wanting to use has an SMA female jack (female socket) with inside thread. I have been trying to find adapters online but no luck. Am i looking in the wrong places or do these adapters not exist?
Cheers.
