Single pole inline terminal block for joining small gage wires?

Hi,

I build, test, and troubleshoot machines that incorporate all kinds of electrical/electronic components. Very often, I have to join one wire to another as you would with a wire nut. I don't really like using wire nuts because both wires have to enter the wire nut in the same direction . If I have several wirenuts joining wires that go from one place to another, this makes it tough for me to make it look like a neat bundle. Also, if I am joining a very small gauge wire to a larger gage wire, or even worse a wire with a solid conductor, I find the smaller gage wire often pulls out.

I also do not like using crimp on butt-splices because anytime I need/want to change my connections, I have to cut off the butt-splice and my wires keep getting shorter.

What I would really like is an inline, single pole terminal block that would allow me to join two wires together. I would like something with one inbound screw terminal and one outbound screw terminal. I would like it to be suitable for very small wire gauges and would like it to be as small in size as possible.

If anyone can tell me if something like this exists and if so, where I can find them, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,
Paul

It would be very simple and very cheap to custom make your own from Vero stripboard and some miniature terminals, you could even make up various termination No's, i.e. 2 terminal up to whatever terminal range you wish.
There is also DIN rail mount terminals of all shapes and sizes, but maybe not exactly what you are looking for.
Max.
