Hi everyone!

I am not the greatest with electronics but I have a project which needs remote on/off swich and I was wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction.

It simply needs to turn on a small current (3v) and turn it off again at a distance of about 3 metres without a light path (ie through a curtain). I am at a total loss as to how to achive this... any ideas?

 

This task might lend itself to a simple wireless link at an estimated cost of $60 dollars.

Are you looking for an of-the-shelf solution or are you wanting to build it yourself?

Can you provide more details on what you are turning on/off with this remote control? For example, is the device being remotely controlled running on battery power? What is the remote 3V source powering?
