I have Ra=0.02,R shunt field = 80,Rse=0.03, the generator induced voltage in 510v and the terminal voltage in 500v. Calculate the power supplied to the load (at 500v) if the generator has (a) long shunt connection and (B) short shunt connection.

 

Could you give a bit more detail? I have read your posting several times and still don't know what you are asking.

I see that R = shunt connection. But what are Ra, Rse, and long/short shunt connections?
