I was reading about the history of spring devices the other day and was shown a bow. An English long bow. There are still many questions about the English long bow and arrow. Especially how they were used. I get sidetracked like this all the time. The interesting part is the way they were shot. They did not pull the arrow......the pushed the bow.

The article mentioned some of these questions were being answered via a 16th-century British warship, the Mary Rose........and some new nanotec that preserves wood from shipwrecks.

We should get some good specs on this weapon.
