Hi.
A television exhibits at all times several areas with darker shades, never sharp, always diffuse (lower right quarter of screen, kind of undefined columnar). Has anyone a suggestion what could it be ?

Photos taken at a more noticeable moments of a movie, that had no defined images, as in a snow storm.

Your eye cannot see what your camera can. The picture is actually drawn from top to bottom in at least three passes. Your brain isn’t as fast as the CRT tube nor the camera.

If you see the missing lines, the CRT Vertical or Horizontal scan timing ⏱ s off.

What is the panel technology? It could be burn in from something that was displayed for a long time. If this is the explanation, depending on the type of panel this could eventually clear or it could be damaged.

The photos posted are exactly what eye sees. There is no missing lines. There is no CRT. There is nothing wrong with H or V timing. Images display correctly at all times. The dark cloudy areas shown are the anomaly.
A gentle push / sweep with a finger on screen makes a darker area but returns to normal when removing the finger, at any location, shaded or not.

I ignore the panel technology :(. It is a vulgar TV.

If it is a fluorescent back lit TV and you smoke, it is or can be smoke build up on the back of the screen. I had to scrap a TV because of me smoking and getting the same thing your seeing. I quit smoking and bought a new TV.
