Can some one tell me the equation to find capacitor value for series tuned circuit? For an example 2mh inductor, 4khz resonant frequency and then I need to find out the capacitor value. I should write an equation to find capacitor value.

I guess C = 1 / 4*pi²*F²*L would be correct.

How did you get that formula? The correct one is: Xc = 1/2PiFC as in this section of the Ebook - http://www.allaboutcircuits.com/vol_2/chpt_4/2.html.

 

I believe his formula is correct. He's looking for resonance frequency rather than the reactance of a capacitor, the formula is also on here.

 

Resonance is different from reactance, quite correct.
