We know that a static positive charge appears on the impurity atom in n-type doping when its extra electron moves from valence band to conduction band. My question is that why a static negative charge appears on the impurity atom in p-type doping when only its hole is being filled by an electron from the neighboring atom? Confused!​

 

What? If you lose an electron (n-type) you become positive. If you gain an electron (p-type) you become negative.
