Can I get one of those cheap inverters on Amazon and run 110v and items from it? I know I have to keep the watts in mind but i wasnt sure if these inverters are designed to be run off a running car, which would make things different?

would I be able to run a pump for an inflatable boat directly from the battery With the appropriate connections and inverter?

 

It should be just fine. I have a little 175 W Xantrex Xpower inverter here and it claims to work from 10.5 to 15.5 volts.
I think you can get 12 volt blowers for inflating boats, though.
