Can anyone identify type and a place to get one from. Spent a lot of time failing to identify
I have an Ortus 1 for repair. The fault rests in the 5 pin usb a type connector slotted into the pcb. Seems poor solution as any pressured movement on insertion and/or removal of usb lead will cause mechanical failure. It has.

I have had a look and taken a number of measurements and I agree it matches dimensionally. I have not removed the existing one yet as the only difference I can spot seems to be in the 4mounting legs. The existing one has through hole legs I think whilst the HRS item does not show legs on drawing. I always have great difficulty finding what I am looking for. I have to thank you and admire how you can do this!

So I did look through the list and could not easily identify a contender. However another contributor recommended a HRS specific which I am exploring. I have never succeeded in easily locating replacements for usb sockets and here I go again

not sure what the problem is.
any large electronics retailer will have large assortment of parts and decent search features. (mouser, digikey, newark, futurlek,lcsc,...). and just because you are browsing their website, you do not have to actually buy from them. also there are crawlers like octoparts.com that can help you search across many suppliers.

for example i just picked mouser.ca and entered search term "usb connector"
