Don't forget Galaxy Quest. Hilarious
The movie was hilarious, but Alan Rickman played his part like a chronic sourpuss.
If he did any work where he didn't play the role as a sourpuss, please list them so I can go check them out.

One of Alan's more obscure bits of work was a voiceover role in the production of Mike Oldfield's album 'Tubular Bells II'. From the Wikipedia article:
The introduction of the instruments at the end of the first half of the album was done by British actor Alan Rickman, although his role was credited merely to "a strolling player" because the voice had not been picked when the artwork was produced.
He can be heard in the song "The Bell".
