Hi, I'm stuck on this question where the answer has to be wrong and looking for some help. Here it is
120 Volt 60 Hz series circuit,
XL= 20 ohms
R = 10 ohms
C =60 microfarads
Voltage drop of the coil?
What I've done is
Xc = 1/377*0.00006 =44.219
Ztotal = sqrt(10^2 + (44.219 - 20)^2) =26.202
I total = 120/26.202 = 4.58amps
Voltage drop of coil = e=I*R so 4.58*20=91.6 volts
But the answer is supposed to be 102.4 volts!
Who's right here, its driving me nuts. thx
