We did this one a few years back. Alix has lots of these modules in various "flavors" for cheap. And, Yes, they did work very well is my recollection and will record more than 1 minute?.

I picked one of these up and recorded the soundtrack of the Youtube animal voice-over video of the groundhog calling my name that operates whenever the door bell rings, , it is portable and I take it with me around the shop so I will get the alert when someone is at the door. Deliveries etc..
