I have a Sansui BA-5000 power transformer that needs to be rewound. is there anyone here who can do that for me?
An interesting inquiry indeed. My experience and observations are that usually having a transformer rewound by an honest organization is only economical when a replacement is not available.
If the detailed specifications of the transformer are not available, then it would need to be manually unwound and the turns and wire size for each winding recorded. THAT operation is often very tedious, and dirty, if the transformer has burned during the failure.
IF yu know the voltages and currents for each of the windings then locating a replacement may be possible. Depending what part of the world you are located in.

That is no mean amplifier. ! Qty 20 TO-204 output transistors, and huge vakue smoothing caps.
I have rewound many a transformer, but the cost of shipping bothways would ber considerable.
Also if the transformer has a bead-weld laminations. this poses a dismantling issue .
Can you tell which winding is burnt? Primary? secondary? Both?

Just noticed it is a toroidal type, these are a little more tedious to rewind as the winding former cannot be separated from the steel core. as in an EI version.

WHAT are the voltage and current specifications for the transformer??
It is likely that a NON-OEM transformer may cost less. AND MAXIS RIGHT!!
