Does anyone know if I take a 12 volt alternator (suppose to turn clock-wise) and turn it counter-clockwise, will the connections be the same? I know that alternators in correct phase are suppose to be 1-2-3 sequenced, what about 3-2-1?

Do You think about car-alternator? It have in-built rectifier, so the output is DC with any direction. If You try use the three phase output (AC) and it powered a motor, when the direction of alternator changed, the motor rotation also changed.
