Pyramid 13.8 volt power supply model PS-9KX Suspected this zener diode. Removed from the circuit. Continuity test reveals a dead short. Now where can I find a replacement? The follow information was taken from the part itself:
C1-2024
065-015
1T0745
10A250V
5A125V
T'-Key
Schematic calls it the ZD1 12V
Anybody know where I can get a Replacement?

Mike

I believe you are confused. That isn't any kind of zener ratings, it's switch ratings. I think you posted a photo of a thermal limit switch.

ps, it's supposed to be either open or closed, depending on its function.

+1, It is a thermal switch, normally closed. It opens when overheated (looks like 220 degF from the pic). When it opens, it breaks the base drive to the pass device Q4 (2n3055). I have a PS-14KX. It uses the same switch in more or less the same place in the schematic (breaks the base drive to the pass devices).

I annotated and attached a PS-9KX schematic for your reference.

Good luck!
