Hi everybody! (Hi Dr. Nick)

I'm interested in using Raspberry Pi in following project:
1. Have a Raspberry Pi (which one I should buy?)
2. Have 7 to 10 inches big screen (It needs to work with Raspberry)
3. Make needed power supplies (I need few of there)
4. Build it in a case

The plan is to have small handheld computer, (laptop battery possible??) which is capable to run Nes, Snes and GBA emulators.
As far as I know, I need:
The computer itself, a screen, power supply for computer, power supply for screen, power supply for it's SD card, power supply for USB Hub, Operating System for it, keyboard and mouse for OS, an USB Snes gamepad for games, lots of cable work, and HDMI cable from screen to computer.

I'm I on the right track? What else do I need?

Edit: Anyone know about the price? Could this be possible under 100€?
Edit 2: What about using only one power supply and regulators and diodes to transfer power to other devices?

1. No point in asking about the first version. I believe the only one that is now available is Model B - 512M. $35.

2. It drives a composite monitor, HDMI video, or LCD. $?

3. It needs a 5V 1A USB supply, $10

4. You can get cases for it $6-$15.

5. You will need a 4GB SDCARD with Linux. $13.

Thanks for the answer.

I will probably buy chargeable battery for power.
For OS + tons of games I better get 8GB card.

So far my project seems possible :)

I am Dr. Nick...I was quite confused when I saw the post. I thought it was some neat macro for a second, then I realized I am stupid and didn't get joke from which I derived my account name. Doh!
