Hello All, I'm new and I was hoping you all could help me... I was looking at this thread:
http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com/threads/rapid-fire-mouse-button.15800/

I put the mouse together using:
555 ic timer,
8 pin ic socket,
1kOhm resistor,
10kOhm resistor,
4.7uf capacitor,
small N/O switch

Set it up like the figure and took pin 4 to Vcc....It works but I wanted to get about 12-15 clicks per sec (720-900 clicks per min)....The problem is I'm getting only 1.5 clicks per sec (90 clicks per min)....What do I need to do to increase my frequency?

Thanks in advance!

So if I replace the 10k with a 1k, I would have 2 - 1k resisters, one going from the 2 pin to 7 pin and the other 1k going from the 7 pin to the 8 pin. Is this correct?

need to put a variable resistor instead of the 1k resistor with a 330 ohms in series from pins 6,7.

OR replace the cap for a 470nF, puta 10 k variable resistor between pin 6,7

Does it matter if I solder a resister from pins 2 to 7 vise pins 6 to 7? Note there is a jumper wire from pin 2 t0 6. Thx in advance!
