i had a question about a Crystal oscillator. the circuit i have seen says i need aCrystal oscillator that is 4mhz and conected to two 22pf caps. is there anyother way i can make a subtitution for it.
Crystals are used in certain oscillator circuits because they are far more stable and have a much narrower frequency range than a typical RC or LC circuit. If your circuit had anything to do with timing, you would be very unhappy with it's performance if you substituted an LC or RC circuit.
