hello, owning panasonic pt4000, it has Trigger output (12v) assuming...
but i am wondering how does screen knows if it has to be unrolled down/ or rolled up?

the reason why i am asking is i want to perceive such a signal and based on it execute other actions with AVR/Sub etc... all integrated via home assistant.

thanks!

Since I don't KNOW the answer I'll make a guess: The screen is AC powered. When there is no signal (12V or otherwise) the screen rolls up. A simple motor and limit switch setup would run the motor until the screen has fully rolled up. When 12V is applied it triggers (guessing) an H-Bridge to reverse the current to the drive motor, running the screen down and stopping when fully down.

But this is just guesswork. Seems logical. It's how I'd approach the task.

You could use the 12V signal to energize a 12V SSR (solid-state-relay) to apply power to other equipment.
sorry for a delayed response.

i found out that AVR has Trigger out and Projector trigger input.... so once these to connected it works as expected.
Projector has also trigger out -> Screen

so the chain is avr (once powered on) -> (turn on ) projector and projector -> (roll down) screen

thanks

I AM TOTALLY AMAZED!!!! Three separate items working as a system and never one word about the connections between them. Starting:"AN AVR, possibly the panasonic pt4000, it has Trigger output (12v) "The projector, which I am guessing is a video projector, provides a 12 volt DC output via a connector of some unknown type, to a screen that can be commanded to roll down by a command of some sort sent to a connector of some kind, to request unrolling so that video can be watched. So there is a device producing a voltage pulse connected to a device that is controlled by some input, executing exactly the correct action.

Actually, I am more impressed than amazed.
AND I sincerely thank the TS for sharing that success with us..
