Hello ,

I am doing a project where i am using a screen ,
now the Datasheet of screen says that i need to power the back-light using 3.3 V PWM .
but instead i tried using simple 3.3 V supply.

The back-light works fine on simple 3.3 V DC .

Question : Should i be concerned that i didn't use PWM ? or should i use a PWM ?

 

What you did is fine. You would use PWM if you want to dim the back-light. A constant supply will just keep the back-light on full bright.

 

The pwm will be incase you need to dim the backlight easier, or use a variable dc supply.
