hi Mr.Chip, do you mind to so me your connection diagram for max232cpe since im using cytron sk40c with pic16f887 and max232cpe rs232 but it's seems i have connection problem which i cant receive sms from my gsm module that is sim800

attached is the details of the project and my im using citron sk40c with pic 16f877a. Currently im using 12v to power up the sk40c board and rs232cpe power getting from pic VDD

 

Have you tested the RS232 link by talking to a COM program such as RS232HEXCOM? http://www.rs232pro.com/
