problem in diode circuits

i dont know how to ensure that two diode are conducting .my professor said to remove the diodes and find the current direction ,if the current direction of branch matches with reference current direction of diode then it is on else it is off.Is that way to ensure the conduction of diode or any other way we have

"Any other way to determine if LED is conducting" depends on how all the other circuits in the world are arranged. I can not answer for those, but in a real circuit, you can look at the LED to see if it is, "on" or measure the current through it with a meter.

The basic truth of an LED is that it only conducts properly in one direction. This circuit has only one voltage source and only one direction of current.
