Hey everyone. I am looking to find an ac/dc power adapter that is between 10-12v and 1amp. I can find all kinds of these on the web but the problem is for my application I need to have a heavier cord than most come with and I also need to have a male Tamiya connector on the end of the cord. SO I guess actually what I need is a domestic manufacturer that can customize a product for me. any suggestions?

Why not just get a a 12V AC adapter, for example this one that can handle up to 1.5A (http://dx.com/p/replacement-12v-1-5...24150?tc=USD&gclid=CLWQ8fm4j7oCFUmY4Aod2zYAxA), cut the end off, splice the correct end onto it, and wrap it with electrical tape (or heat shrink tubing)?

 

No "manufacturer" is going to stop work and build one power cord for you. My suggestion? Learn how to connect 2 wires together.

thanks for the obvious and snidely remark. I can and have made my own. what I am looking for is a supplier that can provide what i want and then I will be ordering hundreds of these. I don't want to spend the time modifying hundreds of these I just want to get them how I need them

I should have suggested something else if you want hundreds.

 

Time to just start googling and picking up the telephone.
Make sure you are more specific when you call them..
define cable ID/wire awg/insulation type/connector part number/male/female,etc...
