Apologies right off the bat if this is wrong ( I am reading this page to learn )

Minor error: The diagram at the top of the page showing the two sets of two meters. The emitter arrow should be down for the forward bias on the left, instead it is backward for both pictures. Is this incorrect?

I don't see a problem as it is shown.

 

Are you assuming this is a NPN transistor?

The transistor shown (and described in the preceding paragraph) is a PNP BJT.
