I took HP's advice and found a nice political forum. It's just plum full of angry white guys. What a hoot.:D
It's a little inconvenient paging back and forth, but not to bad.

So OK and you would be sharing this with us why? I mean no link or anything just that you found a political forum? I guess that's nice would be an appropriate reply. :)

Why are you paging back and forth? Nobody here is talking politics.

And what does the member's skin color have to do with anything? Or for that matter how do you've know for sure what skin color any of them have or that they are even angry for that matter? (Do they type every post in bold capital letters?)

For all you know they are all foreign types trolling for dumb liberal americans to screw with and you just offered yourself up as fresh meat to chew on and are here to actually brag about it. :D

Are you planning to play stupid just to troll them too? Is that what you're doing here now? (kinda reads that way already without having to squint to hard.)

ok, I get to say what I wanted now:

no-one lives in a bubble. Internet is a perfect opportunity for people to isolate themselves from the world and to shut everything out that causes them discomfort. They can also segregate into like-minded beehives and be happy there.

I thought it was great that we had a couple of threads running that allowed members to discuss difficult topics in what was more than civilized manner. The benefit of this was that people, at least those who were willing to listen, learned much more from these discussions than from anything else available online.

So now, this will be a bubble for electronics only. In which case off topic should be closed completely. This will prevent people from trying to create discussions they want and give absolute control to the site owners.

Politics and religion are dangerous topics. At a time like today, should they not be discussed? Or is the view held here that electronics is separate from politics? Science and technology are never separate from politics, how many of the main advances have been made in the name of war...

I missed the political stuff here. Found some of it informative.
I didn't post a link on purpose. I thought it would be rude.

I learned quite a lot from the political Threads. Enough to be done with them!
Both from my research and what other people posted.

On the Hitler video: ROFL, but I don't have any junkie friends or cyanide pills.
Even worse, I don't have any pills worth stealing!

So difficult to decide which of those last two lines needs a :( and which needs a :D
You figure it out.:p

Hint: The name of this site is All About Circuits
Moreover, the discussions, as is the way with all ideological debate, were not civilized!

Say what? Well... Anyway... I'm pleased you have a sense of... Um... humor?o_O

Politics and religion are dangerous topics.
But that's precisely why such discussion should be prohibited on these fora - To wit: you seem to have answered your own question:rolleyes:

Or is the view held here that electronics is separate from politics?
Speaking for myself - With the possible exception of certain regulatory matters, yes! By what stretch of logic do you imagine otherwise?:confused:o_O

So now, this will be a bubble for electronics only.
Might I suggest that it's just possible these fora are neither offered nor intended as the members' sole venue for social interaction?:rolleyes::rolleyes:

The link would have no more discourteous than this thread -- @ronv with all due respect, perhaps you should 'cool it' while you've yet some credibility remaining:rolleyes:

Hopefully

I'm just here posting something that gives me a chuckle. Kind of like most of off topic. Unlike you, I see humor in some of these reactions. I can do that without remorse.
