Hello , as we can see bellow we can get the same amount of current from the collector both from saturation and active modes.
We can have for example 10mA both in saturation and active modes.
But what is the physical difference in the PNP when we output the 10mA in saturation or if we output 10mA in active?
in which electronics types of circuits cases we prefer to work in saturation and in what cases we prefer to work with active mode.?
Thanks.

The difference is Vce, which is obvious on the graph. What causes the difference is the base current. Saturation mode is used for switching applications, active mode for linear applications.

Hello Bob , So low Vce will get use good switch becausepower supply will be delivered better.
but why PNP in saturation could not be good for amplification.
As you can see bellow I got great amplification of current in the collector about 100 and I am still in saturation.
why saturation could not be used for linear applications such as amplification?
Thanks.

Hello,I have put the PNP in saturation state and put small signal as shown below on input and output.
I see that in this configuration the current change is very small.
Given the circuit how can I make the Vcb juntion reversed biased?
Thanks.
