Hello, I'm an electronic engineering student i would like to know if in pn junction at equilibrium there is an additional electric field excet the depletion region electric fied ?

Welcome to AAC.

Your thread has been moved to the Homework Help forum. AAC rules limit the sort of help that can be given to students doing coursework to guidance in pursuing their own solution. For this reason, all coursework related questions must be posted in Homework Help to make the nature of the post clear.

Is this just a single junction device (like a diode) not electrically connected to anything, just sitting on, for example, a workbench top?

yes of course. i would like to know if in pn junction at equilibrium there is an additional electric field except the depletion region electric field ? according to my understanding we should have additional electric field at the border between the depletion zone and the n or p region because we can clearly see that there is the presence of opposite charges also

Where would the additional field come from?

Edit: If you had studied by now you would probably already know that there is no source of change other than the junction itself.
