A few years ago when it was hot at the beach. 90F at the chair and 60F at the water.

Took a look at the fire damage from a few years ago on the river.

A recent trip to Indianapolis offered a chance to visit one of my favorite bird spots: Daubenspeck Nature Park. It’s not a very large place but the setting is great and there are many species to be seen. Below are just a few I’ve processed.

Here‘s a sunrise over Lake Huron, from Mackinac Island. You reminded me that we’ve missed our annual Mackinac excursion for 3 years now. We are expecting to make it this year, just after the season ends.

We never visit in the prime season, it’s more expensive, crowded, and the weather isn’t as nice. Before or after is much better (at least for us).

 

Beautiful pic ... Mackinac Island is on my bucket lilist. But I honestly doubt I'll ever make the trip... guess I'll just have to keep looking at the pics ... and that old "Somewhere in Time" movie ...

 

Glanced out the overhead doors this morning as the sun was rising on another "busy day at the office". The camera doesn't do it justice.

That's the road (Interstate 80) across Bonneville heading to Salt Lake City. The official limit is 80 with a lot of people going faster.

We stopped at Vail Co yesterday for a bite.

 

Around here, the police don't bother to give you a ticket unless you are doing 20 over the speed limit.
So what the heck, almost everyone drives way over the speed limit unless you are a student driver. Once you pass your driving test, it's goodbye slow poke.
